the seychelles islands

The Republic of the Seychelles gathers 115 islands slightly south of the equator off the eastcoast of africa. The largest and most famous islands Mahe, Praslin and La Digue are part of the so called "Inner Islands" and together with other small neighbouring granite islands they belong to the oldest islands in the world. The Seychelles cover a seaarea of 400.000km² spotted by these granite islands and numberous coral islands.Primary branch of trade is tourism (19% of the BNE). 70% of the foreign exchange proceeds are produced in the tourism industry and it employs about 30% of the working population. Another main pillar is fishing. The Seychelles provide a unique wealth on endemic biota, for example the biggest upraised coral atoll of the world - Aldabra, which is also home of the biggest population of the big land turtle, the nature reserve Valle de Mai on Praslin, where the special Coco-de-Mer is growing. By the way both places have been declared as world natural heritage by the UNESCO. There are the paradise flycatcher (a small bird), the last flightless bird in the Indean Ocean and the only left 8 speciemen of the "quallenbaum". Or simply the fantastic and often deserted sandy beaches, with palmtrees and lush green vegetation and the crystal clear turquoise sea - nature lovers looking for tranquility will sure find their spot of paradise on this unique islands.

Maldives - A Place Like Heaven
Maldives
It’s a nation of more than a 1,000 coral islands scattered down the middle of the Indian Ocean. The water is crystal clear, the powdery sands are gleaming white, and the diving and snorkelling are amazing. Maldives are made for honeymooners. The most famous coral reefs in the world are found here. All kinds of colourful, tropical marine life can be viewed simply by putting on some snorkel gear and swimming into the lagoons. The pleasures here are mainly quiet and convivial: barbecues on the beach, sunset watching with a cocktail, the gentle rhythms of local music, all contributing to the very special atmosphere of this magical place. Surfing is big on the east of North Malé atoll, but you may prefer to come here to relax. Stay in the Spa Retreat at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, or one of our other spa properties, and you can add some top-class pampering to your itinerary of pleasures. Elsewhere, you can visit the sleepy capital, Malé, or take a boat to the town of Seenu on Addu atoll, from where you can visit traditional .

Moscow - Red Square
Red Square (Russian: Кра́сная пло́щадь, Krásnaya plóshchad’) is the most famous city square in Moscow, and arguably one of the most famous in the world. The square separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and currently the official residence of the President of Russia, from a historic merchant quarter known as Kitay-gorod. As major streets of Moscow radiate from here in all directions, being promoted to major highways outside the city, the Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow and of all Russia.

Moscow - Red Square
after a short trip to moscow - maybe some useful shots taken (unfortunately no tripod with me...)?
this shot was taken at appr. 10 pm during the first few drops of a massive thunderstorm coming in.
View from Red Square to the building that houses the historic museum. Kremlin and the Lenin mausoleum is on the left of my position.
